Wonder Garden is confirmed for Riyadh Season 2026, though its opening date is not yet announced. Here is what families can expect.
The General Entertainment Authority has confirmed that Wonder Garden returns among the zones of Riyadh Season 2026, which opens on Wednesday 21 October 2026, as a destination for rides and leisure activities. Its opening date, location and prices for this year have not been announced yet, but the dates of the previous two editions give families an idea of what to expect.

What has been announced for 2026
Wonder Garden was named in the Riyadh Season 2026 announcement by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, alongside Boulevard World, Boulevard City, The Groves and the Farmers' Market. Coverage of the announcement describes it as a zone offering rides and activities for visitors, within a programme of about ten weeks that includes concerts, theatre and comedy shows, and programmes for children and families.
Details of new rides, opening hours and ticket prices have not been published. The official Riyadh Season 2026 announcements also do not mention Winter Wonderland, which many people search for at this time of year.
When does it open?
No opening date has been set for this season. Going by previous editions, Wonder Garden did not open with the season launch but some weeks later:
- 2023 edition: opened for the first time on Wednesday 15 November 2023.
- 2024 edition: opened on Thursday 7 November 2024.
That put the opening about two and a half weeks after the season launch in 2023, and about four weeks after it in 2024. It is therefore expected to open after the season starts this year, possibly in November, but that is an estimate based on past editions, not an announced date. Follow the season's official channels before planning a visit.
What earlier editions offered
Since its launch, Wonder Garden has presented itself as an amusement park inspired by nature and fantasy. LIST magazine reported that the first edition covered about 500,000 square metres on the former Winter Wonderland site, with more than 70 rides plus restaurants, shops and roaming acts.
For 2024, the park announced 10 new experiences and more than 90 rides and games for all ages, Gulf News reported, citing the Saudi Press Agency. Highlights of that edition included:
- The Butterfly Garden, with more than 1,000 butterfly species.
- The Bubble Garden and the Flora area, with sculptures inspired by flower colours.
- Jungle Adventure, leading to the Dark Garden.
- Roaming costumed performances, music acts and interactive theatre.
These details come from earlier editions; the 2026 content may differ in whole or in part.
Family options until it opens
If you want a family outing in the first weeks of the season, the authority has confirmed the return of other zones this year:
- Boulevard World in Hittin, adding new pavilions for the Netherlands, Portugal and Yemen. Last season it opened the day after the launch.
- Boulevard City, returning with new content.
- The Groves and the Farmers' Market.
- The Ana Arabia exhibition at VIA Riyadh.
Detailed opening dates for these zones have not been announced yet, so check the official site before you go.
Tips before you go
- Wait for the official date and prices, and buy only through official channels; 2024 tickets were sold on webook.
- In 2024 the park opened in the evening until midnight. If that is repeated, plan an evening visit that suits your children's ages.
- Check ride conditions such as height and age on the booking page before promising a particular ride.
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes; the park is large and you walk between its areas.
Getting there
The 2026 location has not been announced; the 2024 edition was held in Al Qirawan, north Riyadh. Confirm the official location before you set out, as it can change from one edition to the next.
Once the date is out, book your ride in the Drovox Passenger app and you will see the fare before you confirm. Women riders, including mothers travelling with their children, can choose the women option so that only female Heroes receive the request.
