Who is Black Coffee?
Black Coffee is the stage name of Nkosinathi Maphumulo, a South African DJ and producer who began drawing attention in the early 2000s and released his debut album in 2005. His sound blends deep house, soulful vocals and African rhythms.
His 2021 album Subconsciously won the 2022 Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, making him the first African artist to win that category. His best-known tracks include "Superman" and "Drive", his collaboration with David Guetta.
