What we know about the date
The Saudi Pro League published its 2026–27 fixture list in July 2026. The season started on 13 August 2026 and ends on 29 May 2027, with 34 rounds and 306 matches. The list places Al-Ittihad v Al-Ahli in round 15, with Al-Ahli hosting the return fixture in round 32.
Fixture lists on sports websites give the match as Thursday 26 November 2026 at Alinma Stadium, and a ticket guide published in September reports an 8:00 pm Saudi-time kick-off. At the time of writing we had not found the league confirming that time, so check the fixtures page on the league's website in the days before the match.
The league does move rounds when needed. In August 2026 it rescheduled rounds 8 to 11 to give the national team more time to prepare for the Gulf Cup, which Jeddah hosted. The date can change until it is final.
A derby in a busy season
The derby falls in a crowded stretch for both clubs, which are also playing in the AFC Champions League Elite this season. Both coaches will be managing a tight run of games in November, which adds weight to the result in the title race.
It is one of the best-known rivalries in Saudi football. Al-Ittihad were founded in 1927 and Al-Ahli in 1937, and their supporters share the city's neighbourhoods and cafés, so match day is usually followed across Jeddah, not only inside the stadium.
The venue: the Shining Jewel
Alinma Stadium sits inside King Abdullah Sports City in the north of Jeddah and is widely known as Al-Jawhara, "the Shining Jewel". It hosts both Jeddah giants' biggest games and holds more than 60,000 spectators.
If you want to sample the stadium before the derby, published fixtures show Al-Ahli hosting Al-Nassr at the same ground on Thursday 15 October 2026 at 9:00 pm, in round 9. That date also comes from sports media, so confirm it with the league.
Tickets and tips
Roshn Saudi League tickets are sold on WeBook, the league's official ticketing platform, and through the host club's official channels. Ticket guides say general sale usually opens about 10 to 14 days before kick-off, and big-club matches sell out quickly.
- Create your WeBook account early; purchases need a profile linked to a mobile number and email address.
- Buy only through official channels and avoid unverified resellers.
- Have your ticket ready on your phone before you arrive, and keep the battery charged.
- Read the entry rules on the match page, including what you can take into the stands.
- Check the weather and dress comfortably; November evenings in Jeddah can still be warm and humid.
- Plan to arrive early: derby nights draw large crowds around the stadium well before kick-off.
Getting there
The stadium is in north Jeddah, some way from the city centre, and the roads leading to it get busy on big match nights. Leave with plenty of time and set your destination precisely as the stadium or King Abdullah Sports City.
You can book a ride in the Drovox Passenger app and see the fare before you confirm. You can also schedule the ride ahead so you arrive when it suits you before the gates open, rather than requesting a ride at the peak of the traffic.
After the final whistle thousands of fans leave at once, so it can help to wait a few minutes before requesting your ride home, and to agree on a clear meeting point outside the stadium with the people you came with.
Follow the event's official channels for any change to the schedule, and check the fixtures page of the Saudi Pro League.
