With the summer programmes over, the Jeddah Corniche returns to its everyday rhythm, and autumn is a good time to walk by the sea away from the peak heat. At the time of writing we found no special events announced on the Corniche or the Jeddah Waterfront for October or November 2026, so this guide covers what is there, the best times to go, and what is coming in December.

What you will find on the Corniche

The Jeddah Corniche runs a long way along the Red Sea coast, and the Waterfront is one of its busiest stretches. It has open spaces, restaurants and cafés, children's play areas, and dedicated walking and cycling tracks.

From the Corniche you can see King Fahd's Fountain out at sea, one of the city's best-known landmarks, and Al-Rahma Mosque, known as the Floating Mosque, stands on the same coast. Both give an evening walk a special feel, especially once the waterfront lights come on after sunset.

Head further north and you reach Obhur, with its beaches and resorts, a different choice if you want the sea itself more than the promenade. The Waterfront in the central Corniche suits a shorter walk with places to eat and sit close by.

What about events this autumn?

Waterfront events in 2026 were concentrated in the summer: the promenade zone of Jeddah Season 2026 ran until 26 July. No special Corniche programme has been announced for October or November so far, so follow the official Jeddah Season and Jeddah Municipality accounts for any new announcement.

The main date ahead for the Corniche is the Jeddah E-Prix on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December 2026 at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit: a night double-header opening Formula E Season 13 and the competitive debut of the Gen4 car. Formula E and the FIA described the calendar as provisional, so dates may change.

If you plan to attend the race, follow the championship's official website for the session schedule and ticket details; at the time of writing we had not found a detailed timetable for practice and qualifying. So check again closer to December before booking any travel or accommodation.

When to go to avoid heat and crowds

  • October: days are usually still hot and humid, so choose early morning or after the sunset (Maghrib) prayer.
  • November: evenings gradually cool, making longer walks more comfortable.
  • Sunset: around 6 pm in early October and gradually earlier into November, a good moment for photos and to start your walk.
  • Crowds: Thursday and Friday evenings are usually busier, while midweek evenings are calmer.
  • Mornings: the first hours after sunrise are best for cycling and running before the heat builds.

For a family outing, midweek evenings give children more room to play and make it easier to find a seat at the seafront cafés.

Tips before you go

  • Carry water and use sunscreen; the humidity makes it feel hotter than the thermometer says.
  • If you want to swim, choose designated beaches and follow lifeguards' instructions and signs.
  • Use the marked cycle lanes and watch out for pedestrians and children on the promenade.
  • Respect public decency in dress and behaviour, and keep the beach clean.
  • Parking can fill up on weekend evenings, so arrive early or take a ride instead of your car.

Getting there

The Corniche is long, so when you book, set the exact point you want, such as the Jeddah Waterfront or the area around the Floating Mosque, so your walk starts in the right place. Distances along the seafront are longer than they look, and walking from one end to the other can take much more time than you expect.

You can book a ride in the Drovox Passenger app and see the fare before you confirm, then pay by cash, mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, STC Pay or the in-app wallet.

Follow the event's official channels for any change to the schedule, and see the official Formula E calendar for the Jeddah race dates.
